Six connected pillars

Our Work

OLS delivers programmes through six interconnected areas that strengthen health, safety, dignity, leadership, evidence and collective action.

Programme Areas

Community-led programmes with practical pathways to support.

Each area is designed to respond to community priorities while building stronger systems for dignity, health and protection.

Health and Wellbeing

We promote access to health information, sexual and reproductive health services, mental health support, screenings, referrals and community wellness initiatives.

Safety and Protection

We strengthen community protection systems through crisis response, safety planning, safeguarding, referrals, digital security, physical security and violence prevention.

Gender Justice

We address gender-based violence, discrimination and unequal power structures through education, prevention, survivor-centred support and advocacy.

Research and Learning

We generate community-led evidence to inform programme design, service delivery, policy discussions, advocacy and organizational learning.

Leadership and Capacity Strengthening

We support community leaders, volunteers, frontline responders, grassroots groups and civil society organizations through training, mentorship, technical assistance and institutional development.

Movement Building and Partnerships

We strengthen networks, alliances and collective action through community organizing, coalition-building, knowledge exchange and strategic partnerships.

Flagship Services

Support channels for urgent and ongoing needs.

These services are highlighted on the homepage and under Community Support.

Tele-Nursing

Community-based tele-nursing services currently operating across six regions with a network of 18 partner health facilities.

Integrated action

Programmes connect care, evidence and systems strengthening.

OLS uses community feedback, research, direct service referrals and partnerships to shape practical responses.

  1. Community priorities guide programme design.
  2. Evidence and learning strengthen advocacy and delivery.
  3. Partnerships connect people to trusted systems of care.
